Another week has gone by and we are closer to live hockey! This week we touch on signed and unsigned players such as Huberdeau, Kadri, Kolesar and more. Our Thatcher Demko Twitter Poll generated quite a bit of buzz last week so we touch on and respond. The IIHF Women's World Championships are starting at the end of the month (the 25th) and we talk about the retirement of Chiho Osawa, captain of the Japanese national team. St. Anselm College is in a unique position of already having a D-1 Women's hockey program and are looking to get the same status for the men's program. We discuss the first prospect, Matthew Wood. Dominic Tiano tweeted out his response to an idea that is being floated around for the Hlinka/Gretzky tourney for the Canadian team. Finally we give a brief opinion on Mel Pearson being fired at Michigan. All this and a new Twitter poll regarding Fabian Lysell, so give a listen, vote and Enjoy the Show!

With 53 days until camps begin, we continue to march forward with some stimulating hockey talk. There are, at present 10 teams over the cap, some with multiple signings still to make. The Canucks are an interesting subject and we break down what they may have to do in the near future. The Bruins are still talking to Pavel Zacha, but have not made any moves on Bergeron, Krejci or Pasta. J.T. Miller is still a Canuck, but should the Devils make an offer to pluck him away? What would that move look like? Should it include Damon Severson? Matthew Tkachuk has not been a Panther long, but his first press conference has shown us he already is a diehard Panther! We talk about Philly signings and other teams and close out the show with a tweet that can only be described as foolish. Give us a listen and tell us what you think! Look for the Twitter poll on Thatcher Demko and Enjoy the Show!

Now begins the time where we hockey fans begin to lose our collective minds as there is no on ice activity until September. A large trade was made between the Panthers and the Flames as Matthew Tkachuk, etc. was sent to Florida for Huberdeau, Weegar and other pieces. Jack Studnicka has re-signed with the Bruins on a two year deal. Could Charlie Coyle be traded? We discuss. The Oilers still have 3 players unsigned and need to make some moves to lock them up. We talk about the Gaudreau backlash from a statement he made after signing with Columbus. We talk impactful RFAs still unsigned and Jagr still wants to play as well as sign a defenseman for his team in the Czech Liga. A fun show to be sure so give a listen and Enjoy the Show!

Draft...done, Free Agency...started. We talk trades and signings around the league. We delve into the battle of Alberta as it relates to free agency. Gaudreau and Palat the biggest surprises? Evander Kane re-signs with the Oilers. Will Thornton or Chara get contracts? Mike creates a team with the Bruins as currently constituted (players who are actually signed). Chris MacFarland is named GM of the Avalanche as Sakic is promoted to President of Hockey Ops. We discuss B's at Development Camp and names that we will hear again in the future. We spoke with a fabulous young woman named Keriann Danahy at development camp who is in the process of getting the men's and women's hockey teams at the University of Colorado into the NCAA. She is team manager but does so much more. Thanks for listening and Enjoy the Show!

With the draft having just concluded, we move onto the next phase of the off-season...free agency. We start out with a recap of the draft as viewed by us. We also review draft day trades. Kane (and possibly Toews) will probably be moved, so we discuss landing spots. B's have a lot of work still to do, so we talk about potential moves. New Jersey has themselves a new Assistant GM...Kate Madigan. She has been in the Devil's system for a few years, so congratulations to Kate. San Jose has hired a new GM...Mike Grier! His first task will be to hire a head coach. Congrats Mike! We look back at the 2012 draft, and thanks to the NHL redrafting the top 10. Finally we review the twitter poll question regarding Alex Holtz. Lots to discuss with more to come! Enjoy the Show!

We dig deeper into the Bruins off season work to be done as identified by Dominic Tiano. Adam Gaudette will not get a qualifying offer from the Sens and will be a UFA. Is he another victim of the Hobey Baker curse? We discuss three new head coaches (Detroit, Florida and Boston) and we make predictions on what will be expected of each. Sam Stern (@SamStern) made a very gutsy prediction regarding Alex Holtz for the upcoming season. We chew on this for a bit. The NHL expansion appears to be working as we have found a map of where U.S. born players were born between 1991-92 and 2021-22. We close out the fun with a Danny Deraney(@DannyDeraney) tweet reminding us that hockey can be fun with a clip from the archives showing the 1975 Chicago Blackhawks playing the cast of Sesame Street. Two games into the Stanley Cup Final and we haven't seen the real Lightning as of yet. We start in Boston, where the head coach was fired but has since been hired by the Vegas Golden Knights. Torts has been hired in Philly but the B's have still not named a new coach. A couple outside the box names we have come up with include Norm Bazin and Doug Houda. Mike still wants Marco Sturm. Michael Traikos of the Toronto Sun opines that he was fired for winning too much. Jeremy Lauzon was extended by the Preds, a solid move on their part. Frank Seravalli has published a list of top 30 trade targets which is very inclusive, and we give a couple names that intrigue us. Dylan Strome may be moved by the 'Hawks, but its not definite. We recap the first two games of the final and discuss how Tampa Bay have struggled mightily. Bill Haslam, former Tennessee governor will buy the Nashville Predators and Sam Stern has published a poll that asks if the Ranger should trade Kakko to sign Vatrano. A strong show to be sure, but let us know what you think and Enjoy the Show!

...And then there were two! We have ourselves a Stanley Cup Final, which we break down and make picks, but before that we discuss other timely topics. The IIHF Womens' Tourney is taking place, but doesn't appear to be television worthy. We discuss Frank Seravalli's top 50 UFAs and there are a couple issues we have with the list. Michael Misa has been granted exceptional status by the OHL and will be playing as a 15 year old. Igor Shesterkin has broken a record for goal tenders playing in their first 20 playoff games, yet another accolade for the young net minder. Bruce Cassidy has been fired by the Boston Bruins we delve deeper and look at replacements, with thanks to our friend Ty Anderson of 98.5. Finally, we talk about the atrocity that is the NHL Awards show. Their presentation of the season awards is in question and we break down the mistakes. Again a fun show so sit back, listen and Enjoy the Show!

The PWHPA is creating a new league and has some heavyweight backing in their potential launch. We show Ryan Lindgren some much needed love for his play during these playoffs. Nazem Kadri will be out for the rest of the conference finals due to a hit from Evander Kane. The Boston Bruins have multiple players getting surgeries this off season, and that is just the tip of the iceberg for the franchise. They also lost an assistant head coach to the college ranks. The Coyotes have moved one small step closer to having a new home in Tempe, Arizona and the Flyers have another potential head coaching candidate on the list of those who are interested in the job. Lots to discuss, so listen, comment and Enjoy the Show!
