With the Conference Finals almost set, we delve into the next round of the playoffs with the West ready and the East waiting for a second team. Brad Marchand has surgery on both hips and will be out 4 to 6 months. UMass is holding summer camps for young players born between 2002 and 2008. This will be the summer of Nazem Kadri as he is a UFA. His wife, Ashley has released some tweets received during the Avs/Blues series and she doesn't block out names. The Coyotes have hit another snag in their attempt to find a new home. John Tortorella has interviewed with the Philadelphia Flyers for their vacant Head Coaching position and we break down all the deadline moves and their impact on the playoff teams they were traded to in March. Great show for the second week of the NHL Playoffs. We have six of eight series complete and the second round coming around the corner. We break down all the first round matchups and results, with a little discussion of round two. We take a look at the NHL Awards that have been announced...the Lindsay, the Norris and the Calder. We even touch on the Vezina. Dustin Brown has called it a career, having announced it prior to the playoffs. Charlie McAvoy may never win a Norris Trophy, according to Fluto Shinzawa and Patrice Bergeron has not made a decision yet on his future with the Bruins or the NHL. The Playoffs will start tomorrow, Monday and we are the better for it. We make our predictions for the first round. Dustin Brown has announced that he will retire at the end of the season, whenever that is for the Kings. Jeff Blashill is the first coaching chip to fall, but there will be more to come. Arizona has lost the race for 32, and they still need a home for next season. The Senators have many questions to answer in the off-season. Chaz Lucius has chosen to leave the University of Minnesota and signed with the Jets. Boko Imama scored his first NHL goal for the Coyotes, and what a pretty goal it was. His family was in attendance for the event. Jakub Zboril is rehabbing and may return to the Bruins in the second round. Finally, the Golden Knights fans have started a petition to replace Peter DeBoer, the head coach. Lots to tap into and talk about so listen, comment and Enjoy the Show!

With the playoffs around the corner, we start with a frank discussion of the playoff teams. Pastrnak is 3rd fastest in Bruins history to 500 points. The IIHF is ready to start the women's tournament in June in Wisconsin. Kappo Kakko could be a victim of his own injuries. Guy Lafleur has passed away. We break down some coaches that could be on the chopping block at the end of the season. Jordan Dumais of the Halifax Mooseheads has a 6 assist night. The L.A. Kings appear to be investing in hockey in Mexico. Matt Duchene has beaten Filip Forsberg to be the first in Predators franchise history with forty goals by one game. Georgi Merkulov gets the nod from Kirk Luedeke as the number one center prospect for the Bruins. Hobey Baker award winner Dryden McKay has been suspended for six months for a banned substance. The PWPHA will be starting its own women's hockey league and two trainers are suing the Philadelphia Flyers after being exposed to chemicals from the Zamboni that has resulted in their testing positive for cancer. As we start this Easter Sunday, we reflect on players that have passed, players that are having a resurgence and a coach that should be celebrated in retirement. Jerry York, coach of the Boston College Eagles has retired. Donald Fehr and the NHLPA are deciding whether to release results of the NHL's internal investigation into the Brad Aldrich debacle. We give love to John Carlson and dote on the stats put out by Shayna Goldman of the Athletic regarding the Selke Award. We took notice of Kyle Okposo's resurgence this season as he has reached the 20 goal mark and others that have been reinvigorated. Mike Bossy has passed away and the NHL has lost a great player and ambassador of the game. We break down the issue of Connor McMichael of the Capitals and finish up with our Twitter Poll from last week regarding the Rangers catching the 'Canes. Heated discussion this week highlights the show this week. The Boston Pride repeat as Isobel Cup Champions, starting the dynasty talk in Boston. Ryan Getzlaf has announced his retirement at the end of this season, further dwindling the number of active players still in the league from the 2003 draft. A local Boston host intimated that Nick Foligno may have played his last game in Columbus, raising the question about his future. The Kings are playing important games now as they gear up for the playoffs. We have a spirited discussion over our Twitter Poll this week. Should the B's have acquired a playoff veteran net minder? Huberdeau has hit another milestone, getting 100 points, the first time it has happened in the Panthers history. The Denver Pioneers have won the NCAA Championship. The Minnesota State Mavericks goalie, Dryden McKay is undrafted and should have received offers by now. Finally we talk about other prospects including Conor Bedard. April has begun...playoffs are near! The Two Man Forecheck will be making predictions...but not this week. We talk Vegas' chance to make the playoffs and break down our first Twitter Poll. Huberdeau & Kaprizoff have broken records and Makar has matched one. We delve into the 11 head coaches who are either on expiring contracts, have the "interim" tag, or both. What to expect in each situation and where they might be at the end of the season. Keith Yandle's iron man streak will end on Sunday night, a decision reached "mutually" for the good of the team. Kessel is next on the list but will he be around next season? We discuss undrafted college FA signings and a first goal scored by Marc McLaughlin. Darnell Nurse still doesn't appear to get the respect he deserves in our second Twitter Poll and finally we chew on Stuart Skinner's deserving of the number one job in Edmonton. Enjoy the Show!

The deadline has come and gone, now on to the playoffs! We talk deadline winners, The 'Canes at the deadline and the possibility of extending the salary cap to the playoffs. A head coach loses control of his faculties at a U13 game, Marchand gets cereal immortality and Pasta climbs the B's record books. Darnell Nurse is vastly underpaid (until his next contract kicks in), and is Makar really better than Roman Josi? Filip Forsberg has set new highs for the Predators (and they won't be signing him?) and Seguin is the first to 300 in his draft class. Lindenwood University will join Division 1 men's ice hockey (the women's program already exists!) and the Isobel Cup is in full swing. Taylor Heise has won the Patty Kazmaier Award (Top women's college hockey player) and Fabian Lysell is thrown under the bus of sorts by Don Sweeney. Finally we talk DeBrusk and his new extension. The trade deadline is about 27 hours away and the deals have already begun. We delve into the ones that have already taken place but we start with an injury to Aaron Ekblad. We break down the financial and home situation that has become an embarrassment to the NHL of the Arizona Coyotes. The deals are flying but there hasn't been a "blockbuster" deal as of yet. Jake DeBrusk is still a Bruin as of this recording, and our Twitter Poll shows a change in belief that he will not be dealt at the deadline. Filip Forsberg has set a new franchise record for goals and is on the cusp of a couple more milestones. Finally, the Golden Knights could be facing the end of an era as they could potentially miss out on the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
